Reward of up to £2,000 for information on Greenock knifepoint robbery

21 May 2015

We are offering a reward of up to £2,000 for information after a Greenock couple were robbed at knifepoint in their own home.

The victims, a man and a woman, both aged 64, were forced to hand over cash and a mobile phone by two male intruders during the incident at around 6.40pm on Tuesday 21st April this year.

The suspects entered the property, in Wellpark Buildings, Regent Street, through an unlocked front door and cut the couple’s phone lines to make it harder for them to seek help.

Both victims were uninjured but left shaken by the ordeal.

Now we're offering the reward of up to £2,000 for information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the suspects.

“This was a despicable crime which has left the two victims extremely shaken.

“We all deserve to feel safe in our own homes and it is extremely important that the two men responsible for this robbery are brought to justice to ensure that they cannot strike again."

Angela Parker, National Manager for Crimestoppers Scotland

The suspects are described as being 5’ 10 in height with a slim build. Both were wearing blue hooded tops. One of the men was wearing a pair of dark coloured Adidas tracksuit bottoms. Both spoke with local accents.
