Our purpose

We are an independent charity that gives people the power to speak up to stop crime, 100% anonymously. By phone and online, 24/7, 365 days a year. We also share advice on how to protect the people you care about from crime. We want everyone to feel safe, wherever they live.

Living Wage employer logo

We are accredited by the Living Wage Foundation as a Living Wage Employer. Our Living Wage commitment sees everyone working at Crimestoppers receive a minimum hourly wage of £9.90 in the UK or £11.05 in London. Both rates are significantly higher than the government minimum for over 23s, which currently stands at £9.50 per hour.

The real Living Wage is the only rate calculated according to the costs of living. It provides a voluntary benchmark for employers that wish to ensure their staff earn a wage they can live on, not just the government minimum.
