Keeping safe in Northamptonshire

Northampton County Hall
Northamptonshire boasts a population of approximately 723,000 people and is known as the ‘Rose of Shires’. The county has regular transport links to London and invites a variety of people in to the City.

Northamptonshire residents in 2016 - 2017 anonymously reported 1,583 different crimes to Crimestoppers.

"Crimestoppers' Volunteer Committee within Northamptonshire is very well-established and continues to carry out great work in raising awareness of Crimestoppers and the services we offer, including the work of our youth service, Fearless. They also work hard to educate the public about different crime types through different events such as the drama production of ‘Last Orders’ which raised awareness of issues relating to the risks of alcohol and underage sex and the law that’s in place around these themes.

"Off the back of the success of ‘Last Orders’, the committee are also working with partners on a new production called ‘Skin Deep’ which will focus on gang culture, racism, violence and grooming." - Lydia Patsalides, East Midlands Regional Manager.

Chairman Shaun Johnson said: "The committee are all very dedicated hard-working people who are committed to raising awareness of Crimestoppers in order to help keep Northamptonshire safe. However, there is always a need for support and new volunteers to the committee are needed. We would very much welcome anyone who is passionate about Northamptonshire and our cause - please get in touch."

We help to promote the charity in communities across the region, to let people know that Crimestoppers is there for them as an anonymous route to give information about crime. Crimestoppers guarantees anonymity, which means that no-one can ever find out who passed on information about crime.

To pass on information about crime anonymously, call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or fill out our secure Anonymous Online Form
