Crimestoppers Director of Operations Mick Duthie and Wales National Manager Hayley Fry recently attended the South Wales Police Crime and Criminal Justice Awards, hosted by Assistant Chief Constable Tom Williams and the Head of Crime and Criminal Justice, Detective Chief Superintendent Ceri Hughes.

It was a fantastic evening recognising the work taking place across the force, and a proud moment for Crimestoppers. Hayley was awarded the Problem-Solving Award, highlighting the impact of her work across South Wales and the value of Crimestoppers intelligence in supporting policing outcomes.

During the ceremony, the importance of partnership working was clear. A £20,000 Crimestoppers Most Wanted reward was highlighted as part of the evening, having generated vital information that led to an arrest in a murder investigation. This demonstrated the real difference that anonymous information and targeted appeals can make in serious cases.

Hayley was also commended for her resourcefulness, passion, and continued commitment to supporting South Wales Police. The recognition reflects not only individual effort, but the strength of collaboration between Crimestoppers and policing partners across the region.
