One week to go until Emergency Services Show where we highlight importance of whistleblowing

David Crawley, Crimestoppers Director of Business Growth and Fundraising

Crimestoppers will be at the Emergency Services Show at the NEC Birmingham on Wednesday 20 September.

The annual event brings together all blue light services and is a great opportunity for our charity to spread the word about our vital work.

Whistleblowing and the support given to those who want to or need to raise concerns, has become part of the national debate.

Our charity’s Director of Business Growth & Fundraising, David Crawley, will talk at the event about why whistleblowing in the workplace and speaking up in the emergency services sector, and having an independent process in place will encourage greater openness to concerns.

Independent Chair of the Accountability and Liaison Board at the National Guardian Suzanne McCarthy will join David. The title of their joint session is ‘The Emergency Services: When voices need to be heard’.

“It is more important than ever to cultivate a whistleblowing culture in the workplace. It is by us working together and speaking up that we can keep communities safer.

“I would encourage people to join our frank conversation about whistleblowing and speaking up in the emergency services at the Emergency Services Show next week.”
