£10,000 reward offered for information in West Midlands newborn baby murder investigation

As an independent charity, we're announcing a reward of up to £10,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for the tragic death of a newborn baby boy found in the Wyrley and Essington Canal at Rough Wood Country Park, near Willenhall, Walsall, in May 2021.

This heartbreaking case remains open, with West Midlands Police continuing to treat the death as murder. Despite extensive investigations and community appeals, the identity of the baby’s mother is still unknown.

Crimestoppers, which is independent of the police, is supporting this investigation by offering a reward for information we exclusively receive that leads to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for the murder of the newborn baby boy.

Claiming a reward: The reward will only be payable for information passed directly to Crimestoppers and not to the police. A reward code must be asked for when calling us on 0800 555 111. If you contact our charity via our online form anonymously, the 'keeping in contact’ facility must be used, and a reward code must be requested on your initial contact with us.
