It’s National Rural Crime Action Week
In a week when The National Rural Crime Network (NRCN) is highlighting the work its partners carry out against rural crime, we’ve launched our national rural crime campaign, targeting four specific rural crimes in particular. Follow this link to find out more.
What’s happening in National Rural Crime Action Week?
The NCRN shared a rural crime video on social media, highlighting the work of Police and Crime Commissioners across the country to combat rural crime.
If you want to show your support for the action week on social media, you can download a NRCN Rural Crime Action Week Badge.
The national annual Countryside Alliance Rural Crime Survey was launched on Wednesday. It calls for people who live in rural areas to come forward to give their views on rural crime and the impact on the wider community, to help shape the future of countryside crime prevention and rural policing. The NRCN has also been focusing on rural domestic abuse, which is one element of the new Crimestoppers national rural crime campaign. You can see some of the work NRCN Vice Chair Zoe Metcalfe has been doing in North Yorkshire in her video.
Finally, the Country Land and Business Association posted some rural crime blogs. This one focuses on the importance of farmers protecting their well-being as well as their property.
