Northampton: £20,000 reward offered for information on the murder of Robert Brown

We're urgently appealing for help from the public in Northampton and surrounding areas following the tragic murder of Robert Brown, who was found fatally wounded on Friday, August 1 on a bench by the towpath behind Auctioneers Court, which runs along the River Nene.

Robert was a well-liked member of the Northampton community who used to work at the family run fruit and vegetable shop in St. James and Market Square in the 80s and early 90s. His death has deeply shocked those who knew him and the local community.

As a charity, independent of the police, Crimestoppers is offering a reward of up to £20,000 for information given directly to us, leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for Robert’s murder. The reward is available for three months and is due to expire on Saturday, 15th November 2025. Information passed directly to the police will not be eligible for the reward.

The police continue to follow all leads and have made arrests as part of their ongoing enquiry. However, the community’s help is essential to identify and convict those responsible.

Claiming a reward: The reward will only be payable for information passed directly to Crimestoppers and not to the police. A reward code must be asked for when calling us on 0800 555 111. If you contact our charity anonymously via our online form, the 'keeping in contact’ facility must be used, and a reward code must be requested on your initial contact with us.
