Celebrating Pride Month & confronting challenges

This Pride Month we celebrate LGBTQ+ people around the world, their rich diversity, and contributions to society.

It is also a time to raise awareness of the challenges unfortunately still faced by many in these communities.

As an example, transgender identity hate crimes increased by 11% (to 4,732 offences) in England and Wales in the year ending March 2023 compared to the year before, as reported by the Home Office. *

Crimestoppers and our youth service Fearless are here for everybody, whoever you are, wherever you live, by phone and online 24/7, 365 days a year. Over half a million people contact us every year to give information 100% anonymously.

Young people can give information anonymously via Fearless.org, where they can also learn more about keeping themselves and others safe.

* Excluding Devon and Cornwall.
