Deliberate Wolverhampton fire leaving one dead and two critical prompts £20K reward

Wolverhampton fatal arson appeal

We are appealing to the public to tell us anonymously what they know about anyone involved in a fatal arson attack in Wolverhampton. A family member lost his life in the blaze and others in the household were seriously injured.

Akashdeep Singh, who was 26 years old, later died in hospital after his family home on Plascom Road, East Park was deliberately set alight in the early hours of Tuesday, 25 June this year.

We are offering a reward of up to £20,000 for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of anyone involved in this fatal incident.

 Give information anonymously.

Four other family members were injured in the fire. A 16-year-old boy and 52-year-old woman remain in hospital in critical but stable conditions.

The offender can be seen on CCTV footage smashing a window and starting the devastating fire. It’s believed they left the scene and headed in the direction of East Park and may have sustained burn injuries themselves.

“This is a shocking, callous, and awful case, and my deep-felt condolences go to Akashdeep’s family. He was described as a kind person who brought lots of joy to people. We want to see justice for him and his loved ones.

“Often, it’s the smallest piece of information that is key to catching someone responsible, which is why we are appealing to anybody who has suspicions or knows who is involved to come forward.
