Reducing crime and making communities safer in Swindon

As an independent charity, we've launched a campaign in Swindon to help reduce crime, promote community safety and make the streets safer.

Swindon

Residents in Swindon are being encouraged to report information about criminal activity via the charity’s unique reporting service which enables people to pass on information about crime whilst remaining 100% anonymous.

People who have information about criminal activity and those involved, who do not want to talk directly to the police, can give their information completely anonymously to us here at Crimestoppers. We give local people the power to speak up and stop crime in their community, whilst remaining 100% anonymous. Always.

Last year, we received a 72% increase in reports about crime from Central Swindon compared to 2021.

Beth Simpson, Crimestoppers’ Regional Manager for Swindon and Wiltshire, says:

“Often people in areas where crimes are committed hold the key to what’s happening but are too scared to take action as they worry that the criminals will find out that they spoke up. Crimestoppers offers a way for you to pass on what you know anonymously so no one will know that you contacted us.

"You can tell us about people involved in carrying out burglaries and robberies, individuals carrying weapons, using violence or supplying illegal drugs. In fact, if you have seen something suspicious, or if you know who has been involved in criminal activity, you can report it to Crimestoppers and we guarantee that you will remain 100% anonymous. We don’t want to know who you are or where you live – we simply record the information you give us, make sure there’s no identifying details and then pass it on to the police for you.”

Give information.
