Essex: £10,000 reward to find Temitope Adeyinka wanted in connection with fatal drive-by shooting

We are increasing a £5,000 reward we originally offered to £10,000 for anonymous information that leads to the arrest of Temitope Adeyinka, wanted in connection with the ‘drive-by’ murder of a man in Essex.

Robert Powell, aged 50, was shot multiple times from a car outside a house party on Water Lane in Roydon near Harlow in the early hours of Saturday, 13 June 2020. Mr Powell sadly died from his severe injuries in hospital the following day.

***Crimestoppers is offering up to £10,000 for information the charity exclusively receives – either online or by calling freephone 0800 555 111 - that leads to the arrest of Temitope Adeyinka wanted in connection with the murder of Robert Powell. ***

Temitope Adeyinka is 5ft 8ins tall and has a medium build. He is also called ‘Limo’. He has links to East London, including Bow. There is a possibility that he has left the country.

“We are appealing to anybody with information on the whereabouts of Temitope Adeyinka to do the right thing for Robert’s family and to tell our charity what you know, 100% anonymously. What you tell us can make all the difference and no information is too insignificant to tell us.

“Our charity knows it can be hard to give information about somebody you know, however it is important to remind people that assisting a person wanted for questioning over a crime can lead to prosecution. You can speak to us anonymously by calling our UK Contact Centre which is open 24/7 on freephone number 0800 555 111 or you can use our simple and secure anonymous online form.

“Crimestoppers has been taking crime information since our charity was formed in the 1980’s. Every day over a thousand people contact us online and over the phone. We have always kept our promise of anonymity to the millions of people who have trusted us. Nobody will know you contacted us, only you and you may be eligible for a reward.”
Philip Breckon, Crimestoppers Eastern Regional Manager
Anonymity:
Crimestoppers guarantees complete anonymity, meaning that people who call or contact us online can pass on what they know without ever giving any personal details. Computer IP addresses are never traced. Telephone calls are never recorded, there is no caller line display and no 1471 facility.

Claiming a reward:

Whilst the overwhelming majority of people who contact Crimestoppers do so without asking for a reward, the £20,000 offer is available to encourage someone with vital information to come forward, anonymously.

The reward will only be payable for information passed directly to Crimestoppers and not to the police. A reward code must be asked for when calling our charity on 0800 555 111. If you contact Crimestoppers via the anonymous online form, the 'keeping in contact’ facility must be used and a reward code must be requested. You must log back in 24 hours later to get the code. You will be asked to check with Crimestoppers two months later with the reward code to see if there has been a positive result.  More details about the rewards process – at the heart of which is ensuring you stay 100% anonymous - can be found here
