We’ve launched a new campaign across Cleveland to help tackle knife crime. By speaking up, 100% anonymously, you can help take banned knives and weapons off our streets and make your community a safer place.

These and others, have no place in our communities
It is illegal to possess, sell or hire out, import or lend/give to someone a wide variety of specific knives and weapons in the UK. The penalty for carrying a knife or weapon illegally could be up to 4 years in prison, an unlimited fine or both .
Violence inflicts trauma on victims, their families, and their community. Whilst we cannot turn the clock back, we can do something now to stop further harm.

Cleveland Police, who are supporting this campaign, have advised that they have seen a reduction in knife/sharp instrument-related crimes over the past 12 months in Middlesbrough (down 3.3% year-on-year) and Redcar (down 2.9%).
