New Crimewatch Live issues appeal following summer 2024 disorder
On today's episode of Crimewatch Live, an urgent appeal was made to gather information about individuals involved in last summer's widespread disorder, which unfolded in the aftermath of the tragic events of 29th July 2024.
Detective Chief Inspector Zoe Hardy is leading Operation Navette, an investigation into the summer 2024 riots. She emphasised the crucial role of the public in identifying those responsible. She was joined by Detective Chief Inspector Grahame Barr from Northumbria Police, and both highlighted the criminal activity that took place, such as arson, theft, criminal damage, and significant disruptions to communities, local businesses, and private residents.
