New partnership announced with DPD
Leading parcel delivery company DPD has partnered with Crimestoppers to help raise awareness and ensure the safety of delivery drivers and customers’ goods.
DPD operates more than 10,000 vehicles in the UK from 85 locations and delivers over 360 million parcels a year. The company has been referred to as the UK’s favourite parcel company, having topped the Money Saving Expert annual parcel delivery customer satisfaction poll a record nine times.
The partnership with Crimestoppers will support the work DPD’s own security team is doing to stay one step ahead of the criminals. It will include the generation of a series of bespoke joint-branded assets including email footers, leaflets and posters to raise awareness of the partnership and ensure that anyone with relevant information knows who to talk to.
There will also be a bespoke roundel which can be used as a sticker on DPD vehicles to alert members of the public that ‘DPD is working in partnership with Crimestoppers’. The focus will be on promoting the Crimestoppers confidential phone line for DPD staff and members of the public to report any concerns and potentially provide evidence.
Tim Jones, Director of Marketing, Communications & Sustainability DPD UK, commented:
“We are delighted to be working with Crimestoppers on this important campaign. Violence against anyone just trying to do their job is completely unacceptable, so it is important that we talk about driver safety and take steps to protect our team and of course ensure the safe delivery of our customers’ products.
"Working with Crimestoppers will help us meet our objectives, deliver real benefits in terms of keeping drivers and their deliveries safe, and enhance the work of our in-house security team.”
