£20,000 reward offered on 30th anniversary of murder of Buckinghamshire nurse

We're offering a reward of up to £20,000 for information leading to the identification and conviction of the person responsible for the murder of Janet Brown, a nurse from Buckinghamshire, who was tragically killed 30 years ago on April 10, 1995.

Janet Brown

The body of 51-year-old Janet Brown, a mother-of-three, was discovered the following day at the bottom of her staircase by builders working on her home in Radnage. The circumstances surrounding her death suggest a violent crime: Janet was found handcuffed, gagged, and had sustained multiple head injuries. Notably, there was no evidence of sexual assault, and investigators have remained open to various motives.

"Janet’s life was cut tragically short by this horrendous act of violence. As we mark the 30th anniversary of her death, Crimestoppers is committed to obtaining justice for Janet and her grieving family.

"We believe that after all these years, circumstances may have changed, and individuals who possess vital information may finally feel encouraged to reach out and share what they know.

"Crimestoppers is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year and we cannot trace your call or track your IP address. No one will ever know you contacted us. You may think your information is insignificant - however, it could make all the difference.”

Beth Simpson, Crimestoppers Regional Manager for the Thames Valley.
