Reward for anonymous information on murder of Raju Modhwadia in Leicester

Mr Modhwadia, who was 41 years old and also known as Kara Muru, was found with stab wounds on Evington Road, Stoneygate, Leicester in the early hours of Monday, 27 December last year.

A short while before, Mr Modhwadia had been involved in a fight on Hamilton Street, in Leicester, near to the junction with St Albans Road.

It is believed that there are people who witnessed what happened.

***Crimestoppers – which is independent of the police - is supporting the investigation by offering a reward of up to £20,000 for information the charity exclusively receives – either online or by calling freephone 0800 555 111 – that leads to the arrest and conviction of anyone involved in the murder of Raju Modhwadia***

“We urge anyone with information to speak to our charity 100% anonymously. By coming forward, you could make a real difference in helping to get justice for Raju, whose life was so tragically cut short.

“If you know who was involved or what happened and you wish to not give your personal details, then our charity is here to help. Contact Crimestoppers and you’ll stay 100% anonymous. All we want to know is the information you have, not your name or any other personal details. We have kept our anonymity promise since we started back in the late 1980s.

“Please call our UK Contact Centre on freephone 0800 555 111, which is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, or fill in our website’s simple and secure anonymous online form. Crime information can be given in up to 140 different languages, including Hindi, Punjabi, Gujarati and Somali.

“No amount of information is too small to tell us - were you at home on Boxing Day evening on Sunday 26 December 2021, close to where Raju was found? Did you hear or see anything suspicious? It is not too late to tell us what you know, and you could be eligible for a reward.”
Lydia Patsalides, Crimestoppers East Midlands Regional Manager
