How we work at a local level through our committee
Crimestoppers is a charity, so we rely on volunteers to help us with our work. Our aim is to tell more people about Crimestoppers' anonymous phone number, 0800 555 111, and our Anonymous Online Form. If more people know about Crimestoppers and that they can call anonymously with information about crime, we can help to make Cambridgeshire a safer place for us all to live and work.
The Cambridgeshire committee is now fully established with around six proactive members.
The committee works hard to promote awareness of the charity across Cambridgeshire and runs several campaigns each year to target local issues of crime and disorder. Over the last year there has been a focus on helping to make university life safer for those at the Anglia Ruskin University, with the SaferU campaign.
The Chair of the Cambridgeshire Crimestoppers Volunteer Committee is Lisa Oddy, she is keen to combat crime across the county and is looking for more volunteers to join her and the other committee members to tackle crime in Cambridgeshire.
We're always looking for those living or working in Cambridgeshire to join this vibrant committee and help fight crime in their community. Please contact us for more information about becoming a volunteer for Cambridgeshire Crimestoppers. We particularly need those with IT skills, social media and marketing knowledge.
