If you can smell gas or there is a power outage or electrical fault, you should call the appropriate emergency services instead of contacting us – both are 24-hour services.

  •  Electricity danger – contact Northern Ireland Electricity Networks on 03457 643 643
  • Gas danger – contact Northern Ireland Gas Emergency Service on 0800 002 001

Gas Emergency Information

Please call the Call Northern Ireland Gas Emergency Service 0800 002 001 (24-hour service) if you smell gas or think you have a gas leak. In this case you should:

  • immediately open all windows and doors to ventilate the property 
  • extinguish any naked flames including cigarettes, and do not smoke, strike matches or do anything which could cause ignition
  • not turn on/off any electrical switches
  • if there are any electrical security entry phones/locks, please open door manually
  • call the Gas Emergency Services immediately.

Electricity Emergency Information

Please call the Northern Ireland Electricity Networks on 03457 643 643 (24-hour service)if you have a power outage or electrical fault. You should then be put through to your local network operator who looks after the safety and security of your electricity supply.
