Four down, seven to go – our appeal to find the UK’s Most Wanted in Spain

In the spring, Crimestoppers and the NCA named the UK's Most Wanted fugitives who are believed to be hiding in Spain.

The campaign, in partnership with the National Crime Agency and the Guardia Civil, has had some significant results.

• Simon Dutton (wanted for recall to prison, cocaine importation, and money laundering) was arrested near Benidorm shortly after the launch of the campaign.
• Then Spencer Dillon Lamb, wanted for drug offences, became the 100th fugitive captured since the start of Operation Captura, a multi-agency campaign aimed at tracking down the UK’s Most Wanted, when he was detained in Belgium.
• Since then, John Rocks, linked to allegations of multiple sexual assaults, was arrested in central Madrid.
• And Philip Barry Foster, a former actor on the soap Brookside and wanted for major fraud and money laundering, was arrested in the Alicante area.

This means that seven fugitives remain outstanding and thought to be in hiding in Spain, wanted for crimes ranging from money laundering and false VAT claims to serious drugs offences and murder.
