Milton Keynes man convicted over death of baby daughter wanted after court no-show
We're offering a reward of up to £7,500 for information that leads to the arrest of Emmanuel Sakyi, who has been convicted of causing the death of his baby daughter by dangerous driving and is now wanted after failing to appear in court.
Wanted man Emmanuel Sakyi
Sakyi, aged 31, formerly of Garraways, Milton Keynes was tried in his absence at Aylesbury Crown Court and convicted by a unanimous jury. He has been sentenced to 15 years in prison.
The conviction relates to a fatal collision on Sunday 4 December 2022, when Sakyi drove his grey Peugeot 508 on the wrong side of the road between Bond Avenue and Fenny Lock roundabouts in Milton Keynes while more than two and a half times over the drink-drive limit. His vehicle collided head-on with a green Fiat 500.
Tragically, Sakyi’s seven-month-old daughter, Emmanuela, died from injuries sustained in the collision. She was not properly secured in an appropriate child seat.
Following the crash, Sakyi left the scene and was later arrested but has since failed to appear in court and is now wanted. He is described as being of a medium build, with black hair and brown eyes and is around 5ft 3ins tall.
