We were honoured to host the Minister for Policing and Crime Sarah Jones MP at our headquarters and Contact Centre, offering a first-hand look at our charity’s commitment to supporting people and communities to speak up anonymously about crime.

The Minister’s tour reinforced the crucial role that Crimestoppers plays in empowering individuals to speak up safely about crime.
Anonymity is key
Our expert teams demonstrated how anonymous information is received, processed, and passed to law enforcement whilst guaranteeing complete anonymity to the thousands of people who contact us every day.
During the visit, the Minister engaged with frontline staff, gaining insight into our unique approach to helping communities.
We discussed our national campaigns, Fearless.org youth outreach, and the positive impact of working with police and commercial partners whilst maintaining our charity’s status and, crucially, our independence.
The Minister praised the dedication of our people and the innovative ways we give a voice to those who may otherwise remain silent.
Minister for Policing and Crime Sarah Jones MP said:
"Crimestoppers provides a vital service that lets everyone play their part in keeping communities safe - completely anonymously.
“I want to thank the charity and the millions of people who have had the courage to speak up.
“Communities are safer and criminals are off our streets. That is something we should all be proud of.”
Mark Hallas, Chief Executive of charity Crimestoppers, said:
"I’d like to thank the Minister for giving her time to see for herself how we support people and communities across the UK to speak up about crime, anonymously.
“Please remember that we are open 24/7, 365 days a year, for people to pass on what they know either via our online form or by speaking to one of our specially trained call handlers at our UK Contact Centre on 0800 555 111.”
