Crimestoppers launches national campaign to help keep young people safe from knife harm
As an independent charity, we at Crimestoppers are urging young people - indeed, everyone - to speak up about knife crime. Through our youth service, Fearless.org, Crimestoppers empowers young people to share what they know about crime safely and anonymously without fear of being identified, questioned or having to go to court.

A Crimestoppers spokesperson said:
“When you carry a knife, you’re not only risking someone else’s future, you’re risking your own too. In fact, if you carry a knife, supposedly for protection, you are MORE LIKELY to be stabbed.“It’s tragic that so many young lives have been ruined or lost because of knife crime. We want young people to know that speaking up about someone carrying a weapon is the best option for their safety and everyone around them.
"Fearless.org will take your information and pass it on. There is no way to know who you are or to be able to identify you. All we want to do is help protect you, your family, friends and the wider community from the harm that inevitably follows when knives are involved.”
Do you have information about someone who carries or stores a knife? Or know anything about any other crime? You can tell us what you know & remain 100% anonymous - guaranteed. No one will ever know you got in touch with us, we do not record phone numbers or IP addresses and you will not need to speak to the police.

Our campaign is focusing on education and prevention, providing information through Fearless.org to help young people understand the life-changing consequences of carrying a blade.
The campaign highlights how carrying a knife puts lives in danger, and how anyone - especially young people - can spot the signs and safely report what they know 100% anonymously.
Knife crime is linked to drug dealing, street gangs, and the exploitation of often vulnerable young people. Children and teens can be manipulated into carrying or hiding weapons for others or pressured to use violence to “prove” themselves.
Together, we can break the cycle of violence. If you know something, say something - safely and anonymously.
Three things every parent can do:
- Spot the signs: Look out for behaviour changes, unexplained money, or injuries that don’t make sense.
- Talk to your children: discuss the dangers of knives, the law, and why it’s important to speak up.
- Speak to Crimestoppers: If you’re concerned about knife carrying, drug dealing, gang activity, or any other crime, you can report it completely anonymously.
