Volunteer Chair Pete Anderson organised his 22nd Annual Charity Golf Day for Crimestoppers in the West Country, with 14 teams entering – and our own CEO, Mark Hallas, among the players.

Held at Long Ashton Golf Club near Bristol and supported by Bristol Beacon, Thatchers Cider and DoubleTree by Hilton, among others, as ever our amazing volunteers helped make this day a pleasure, as they do every year.

As we know, golf involves a lot of walking, so it was no surprise that the mid-way refreshments stall went down a storm as usual - particular thanks were offered to volunteer Harriette for her expert baking skills.Volunteer Harriet's cake stand

More than £650 was raised, which will go towards the committee’s work helping communities to speak up, stop crime and stay safe.

You can stay up-to-date with the work of Crimestoppers in the West Country on their Facebook page – where you can also let them know if you’d like to enter a team for next year’s Golf Day!Golf trophies

Finally, many congratulations to this year’s winning team - Sky Blue Army.
