Stopping the spread of crime by cutting off a criminal's cash flow
We've brought together appeals from Asset Confiscation Enforcement (ACE) teams in police forces, giving you the opportunity to help the police seize assets from those convincted of offences and who may be involved in serious and organised crime.
Asset confiscation is when money and/or high value items are removed from people who have been convicted of a crime. Doing this helps to disrupt criminal activity by:
- Stopping criminals from using the profits of one criminal operation to fund the next
- Negatively affecting the reputation of individual criminals and crime networks so that their partners trust them less
- Providing new leads and identifying new suspects
- Seizing money made off the back of criminal activity
