AJ Bell Great North Run
The 2025 AJ Bell Great North Run is scheduled to take place on Sunday 7th September 2025.
The AJ Bell Great North Run is the world’s biggest and best half marathon, with 60,000 runners taking on the 13.1 mile route from Newcastle to South Shields each year.
If you have not been successful in the ballot, you are very welcome to apply to us for a place.
Support we offer
Join Team Crimestoppers and we’ll give you everything you need from the start of your training journey, right through to when you rest your feet at the end of the run. We offer:
- A Crimestoppers technical running vest.
- Help and support from a member of our Events Team.
- Training tips and advice.
Own place runners
If you have secured your own place in the 2024 Great North Run, you can still run and fundraise for Crimestoppers.
Charity place
If you didn’t manage to secure a place in the ballot, you can apply for a Crimestoppers’ charity place in the Great North Run.
Please note that we ask our charity place runners for a registration fee of £35 and you’ll need to pledge to raise at least £390.
We’re here to support you every step of the way.
