West Midlands Volunteer Crimestoppers Chair wins Birmingham in Bloom and Neighbourhood Recognition Award

Congratulations to Mohammed Zafran BEM, Chair of our West Midlands Volunteer Committee, who recently won a Birmingham in Bloom and Neighbourhood Recognition Award.

Known as ‘Zaf’, he won the ‘Gold city-wide safer streets and open spaces communities’ category.

This Birmingham City Council award recognises the achievements of individuals and community groups that keep people safe, prevent crime and supports victims of crime.

“The work I have done with Crimestoppers to keep young people and local communities safe from crime and to make them aware of what the charity is all about, played a big part in receiving this award.

“Winning this award helps to promote the great work that we do to make a real difference to people’s lives.”

Mohammed Zafran BEM, Crimestoppers West Midlands Volunteer Committee Chair

Zaf is a UK Youth and Community Goodwill Ambassador, who has won many national and international awards for his extensive community and humanitarian work.
