The Police Anti-Corruption and Abuse Reporting Service gives people a way to report information about a police officer, member of police staff or volunteer who they believe are taking advantage of their role and abusing their position of power. This may be for financial or sexual motivation, or their conduct is motivated by hatred or prejudice.

What to report:

Contact the national Service on 0800 085 0000 or online to provide information you have about a Police Service police officer, member of police staff or volunteer who: 

  • Provides information or influence in return for money or favours.
  • Uses their policing position for personal advantage - whether financial or otherwise.
  • Crosses professional boundaries for sexual purposes.
  • Abuses or controls their partner, or those they have a relationship with.
  • Engages in racist, homophobic or misogynistic conduct, on or off duty, in person or online.

What to report elsewhere:

  • If you, or someone else, is in immediate danger or a crime is in progress, call 999.
