Regional Managers

Regional Managers are the regional representatives for Crimestoppers (CS), with specific responsibility to deliver crime-based campaigns with our volunteer committees to help Police and Crime Commissioners (PCCs) and police forces keep people safe.

To achieve this, they will:

  1. Work with key stakeholders such as PCCs and police forces to develop and deliver agreed annual plans to achieve key priorities such as tackling serious and organised crime. They will plan and implement hard-hitting local campaigns, and also respond to time-critical or urgent requests for targeted calls to action.
  2. Deliver training to all members of the police family, including Senior Investigating Officers, new recruits and PCSOs on our work, whilst acting as the CS single point of contact for forces to ensure we deliver a consistent approach.
  3. Co-ordinate and project-manage regional campaigns across force boundaries. They will secure funding, the participation of communities and the support of local and, where necessary, national media. Each campaign run will be reviewed to capture best practice and learning and ensure value for money and, with the help of CS Central Office, the Regional Managers will produce and share performance analysis.
  4. Work with forces to maximise opportunities to offer our enhanced rewards to help solve complex crime. With the support of our central communications team, they will act as the media spokesperson for the charity, ensuring key messages are communicated effectively to the public and partners.
  5. Reduce crime and the fear of crime by organising local “Most Wanted” campaigns for forces. This will reduce the risk to communities by targeting those who are causing greatest harm and helping forces take offenders off the streets.
  6. Promote our youth brand, Fearless.org, into campaigns and outreach work to ensure young people benefit from early intervention and prevention work around relevant crime types. Where forces or regions have a Fearless worker, the Regional Manager will support, guide and task them, and report back their progress to funders.
  7. Recruit, co-ordinate, train and work with Crimestoppers volunteers, committees and Community Ambassadors, who will then fundraise, support campaigns and undertake other awareness-raising CS activities. They will attend and support community events to support funders, whilst also raising awareness of Crimestoppers and/or Fearless.
  8. With the support of our Central Office, engage in CS regional or national campaigns to maximise the impact on PCC and police force priorities.
