Podcast lifts the lid on how the NCA and Crimestoppers hunt & catch fugitives

A new podcast series delves into the serious work of the National Crime Agency (NCA) as it marks its 10th anniversary. 

‘Underworld: Behind the Scenes of the NCA’ unearths the murky world of dangerous offending. 

Of special interest is Episode 6, which explores how Crimestoppers supports the NCA in the hunt for fugitives who are attempting to evade justice. You’ll hear from various law enforcement, the media and Crimestoppers Chief Executive, Mark Hallas. 

Our charity has proudly worked with the NCA providing a vital link with the public to share what they know about the whereabouts of any fugitive. This is done – due to Crimestoppers' anonymity guarantee – without people ever giving any of their own personal details.

Crimestoppers launched Most Wanted for the UK in 2006 and has since also run campaigns to catch British fugitives who have fled abroad. Whilst Spain is the main destination and focus of our joint campaigns with the NCA, we have also worked in the Netherlands and Cyprus.

More recently, in January 2022, we listed over a dozen men who are wanted and believed to be in Spain. The majority have now been caught, thanks to your help.
