Burford, Oxfordshire: Reward to catch thieves involved in Cotswold jewellery heist

Crimestoppers is supporting an investigation into a serious robbery after a gang of jewellery thieves targeted a business couple as they parked their vehicle on a pretty Cotswold high street.

The pair were threatened at around 6.15pm on Sunday 19 November as they got out of their car on Burford High Street.

Jewellery with an undisclosed, but substantial, value was stolen during the raid.

The criminals – about half a dozen of them – emptied the vehicle of valuables from the rear and then made off in a dark-coloured SUV which had false number plates.

Their getaway SUV was believed to have left Burford High Street, driving on Priory Lane and Tanners Lane before heading back along the A40 and possibly along the A361 in the Lechlade direction.
