London: Reward to solve murder of teenager David Adegbite, shot dead in Barking in suspected 'mistaken identity'

Following the fatal shooting of a teenager in east London, Crimestoppers is offering a substantial reward for information.

Whilst our charity is independent of the police,  we are supporting officers investigating this crime by offering up to £20,000 for information we exclusively receive which leads to the conviction of those responsible for David Adegbite’s murder.

David was just 18 years old when he was shot dead in a car park in St Ann’s, a residential estate situated off Gascoigne Road in Barking, on Sunday 19 March in 2017. He’d been visiting friends when he was killed in what detectives say may have been a case of mistaken identity.

Emergency services rushed to the scene at just after 7pm and found David with a gunshot wound. He was taken by ambulance to an east London hospital, but sadly was pronounced dead a few hours later.
