Be Fearless in Surrey

About Phil
Before retiring in February 2025, Phil has previously worked for Surrey Police for 22 years, originally as a PC on Response and Neighbourhood’s before becoming a Youth Engagement Officer 10 years ago. Whilst in the Youth role Phil ran a number of initiatives including starting a Sports fund for young people, running a young person’s awards and helping run the borough’s Volunteer Police Cadets each week.
Having worked in partnership with Fearless at a number of engagement events as a PC, Phil knew becoming a Fearless Outreach Worker was a great opportunity to continue some of the work he'd started as a Police Officer and to tell young people that they can make a difference by reporting their concerns or crimes anonymously, with no risk to themselves.
Young People's Workshops
Fearless provides free workshops and assemblies aimed at 11-18 year olds in schools, Colleges and Youth club settings either in the form of Assemblies, PSHE lessons or Q and A's.
These can be provided both in person and virtually. All topics can be delivered in 1 hour sessions. There is NO cost for our service, as we are fully funded and supported by the PCC for Surrey.
Sessions are fast paced, emotive, engaging and give young people the opportunity to have a voice.
We are flexible and can adapt sessions to meet the needs of your young people.
Below is an example of the content Phil will cover in a Fearless workshop:
An Introduction to Fearless
- What is Fearless?
- Reporting crime
- Challenging misconceptions and snitching
- Society and responsibility
- How our Anonymous Reporting Service works and how to use it
