Substantial reward to catch killer of ‘well known and loved’ Suffolk grandmother

Anita Rose

We are supporting an investigation into the death of a much-loved mother and grandmother from Brantham by offering up to £20,000 for key information given to us anonymously.

Anita Rose, who was 57 years old, was found unconscious at around 6.25am on Wednesday, 24 July 2024 on a track road near the railway line in the village. She had left her house at around 5am that morning to take her dog Bruce for a walk.

The springer spaniel was found unharmed by her side.

Anita was taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital having sustained serious head and facial injuries. She sadly died four days later.

The attack is believed to have taken place at some point between 6am and 6.25am somewhere between the top of Newmill Lane and Rectory Lane, where Anita was found.

CCTV footage confirmed Anita was wearing a cerise coloured Regatta Calderdale II jacket. She also had a black wallet-style phone case which was quilted with a gold crown and stud detail and white Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 earbuds. These items are still missing, and it’s believed they could hold key information or evidence for the investigation.

To date, no one has been charged in connection with Anita’s death.

“This is a shocking and very sad situation and Anita’s heartbroken family deserve answers and justice.
