Keeping employees safe when they travel
We couldn’t do our charity’s important work without our partners who believe in our mission as much as we do.
Driven by our common goal of protecting personal safety, we have a partnership with Peoplesafe, an industry-leading, technology-led, employee-safety business, who are based in the UK.
Peoplesafe has developed an app feature called Travelsafe, which protects employees who are travelling for business, commuting or socialising after work. It enables them to call for emergency help in under six seconds, on average.
Travelsafe can calculate how long a journey should take and generates an estimated arrival time alongside a timed alarm. If an employee hasn’t reached their destination by the expected arrival time, the alarm is activated. Throughout a journey, regular welfare check-in messages are sent, to ensure safety.
Alarms are answered and handled by expertly trained controllers in the Peoplesafe Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC), 24/7/365.
Once the pre-defined destination is safely reached, the app automatically closes the timer, so it doesn’t need to be manually cancelled.
Peoplesafe supports Crimestoppers in safeguarding our valued staff, who have a discreet and direct link to the Peoplesafe ARC when working remotely. This ensures our staff have peace of mind should they face a potentially challenging situation.
