The difference we make - our impact
We rely heavily on our supporters and beneficiaries, who are keen to see the impact of our work. We publish an annual Impact Report that outlines top level things – for example, how we are thinking and working strategically.

It shows how we make a real difference by helping the almost 600,000 people who trust us to pass on vital information about crime each year - 100% anonymously.
Our Impact Report 2022/23 highlights our unique work over the past year helping the public to speak up about crime.
It’s been a year of challenges for those of us involved in helping to keep people and communities safe. The headline issue has been around trust and confidence in law enforcement.
In our 2022/23 edition, you can read about:
- Launching the Metropolitan Police Anti-Corruption and Abuse Hotline. Hundreds of people have trusted our service and the force, who asked us to run the service, is working through the information we’ve passed on.
- Building on the success of Crimestoppers’ Most Wanted gallery.
- Making a difference with our campaigns and rewards across the nations and regions.
- Real-life case studies – anonymised and taken from the thousands of reports we receive.
- And an update on the fantastic efforts of our volunteers.
Our charity is proud to be expert at breaking down the barriers that keep those with crime information silent. We have learnt a great deal over the decades. Now, an average of over 1,600 people are contacting us online or on the phone every day.
They are proactively choosing the Crimestoppers option – often in the face of fears over revenge attacks or other consequences.
We thank them all for taking what is often a courageous step.
