We're offering a reward of up to £10,000 for information after the Nether Edge branch of Sainsbury’s was robbed at gunpoint.

CCTV footage captured the moment a staff member was forced to hand over a sum of cash from a till after being threatened by a man with a sawn off shotgun at around 9.58pm on March 10th this year.

The man then placed the money into a Sainbury’s super shopper bag before fleeing the store, which is two miles from Sheffield city centre.

The staff member, Neil Mackenzie, was left shaken by the incident but no-one was injured.

After South Yorkshire Police appealed for information during a recent episode of BBC’s Crimewatch Roadshow, the hope is hoped that our reward will bring the culprit to justice.

“This was a terrifying incident which left an innocent worker understandably shaken.
“It is imperative that this man is found to ensure that he cannot strike again."

Regional Manager for Crimestoppers Yorkshire

The suspect is described as slim and between 5ft 10 and 6ft tall. He was wearing a black jacket, black jeans and black trainers. He disguised his face with a hood and scarf.
