We are offering a reward of up to £10,000 for information leading to the arrest of a man suspected of the murder of a landlady who was stabbed to death in a guest house in Bridlington.
Bei Cater, 49, was found dead with a single stab wound at the Morayland Hotel on Marshall Avenue, Bridlington, late on the evening of Friday 18 July.
The suspect wanted in connection with her death is John Heald, 53, considered by police to be ‘a dangerous man’. The public has been warned not to approach him.
Heald is from South Yorkshire and was believed to have been staying at the guest house before Ms Carter was killed. South Yorkshire Police reported that he is also wanted in connection with another serious offence in Sheffield.

Dave Hunter, Senior Regional Manager for Crimestoppers said: “As a local hotelier, Bei Carter was well-known throughout the Bridlington community, and it is truly a tragedy to have lost her to such a sickening act of violence.
“This crime has sent shockwaves throughout the community, and the public has the opportunity to ensure that this man does not get away with this horrible offence he is accused of. I urge anyone who has seen this man or has any information about his whereabouts to contact Crimestoppers immediately and anonymously.”
