On 12th December 2013 the National Tackling Child Sexual Exploitation and Abuse Conference will be held at The National Motorcycle Museum in Birmingham.
The conference will provide a forum for information sharing and debate that delegates will be able to take back to their communities and workplace to assist them in making a real difference in improving children's lives.
Stephen Rimmer, recently appointed as the West Midlands Regional Strategic Lead of action against the sexual exploitation of children and other vulnerable people will be speaking at the event.
Other speakers include Nazir Afzal OBE, Chief Crown Prosecutor, Crown Prosecution Service North West, Detective Superintendent Neil Esseen from Lancashire Constabulary and Stephanie McCourt, Operations Manager at Child Exploitation & Online Protection Centre (CEOP).
Speakers will also include representatives from Lancashire Constabulary whose work in this area has been recognised nationally in recent years.
Proceeds from this event will be used to support ongoing Crimestoppers' campaigns aimed at encouraging members of the public to provide information that can be used by enforcement agencies to tackle the issue of child sexual exploitation.
