Up to Up to £5,000 offered for information on violent burglary in South Wales

Today we are offering a reward of up to £5,000 for information on a gang of masked burglars who broke into a couple’s home and threatened them with weapons.

The terrifying incident occurred at around 8pm at a property on The Highway in Croesyceiliog on Thursday 16th November.

The male and female occupants were in their kitchen when a group of five or six men broke into their home and demanded money. The men took cash before driving away in the direction of the M4 east bound in a blue Audi. The male victim was taken to hospital after suffering injuries and bruising to his shoulder and face.

The culprits all had their faces covered and were wearing dark clothing, however one of the men wore a navy jacket with a distinctive silver or white letter ‘W’ on the chest.

A reward of up to £5,000 is being offered for information given to our charity that leads to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for this burglary.

Ella Rabaiotti, our Wales Manager, said: “The victims have gone through a truly terrifying ordeal in the one place that they should be allowed to feel safe – their home.

“I cannot imagine the fear they must have had and I would ask that anyone who might have information on the group responsible for this crime to contact us anonymously.

“We won’t judge, ask any of your personal details or make you speak to anyone other than ourselves. We’ll take your information and pass it onto the police, and then you’re done.”

If you have any information on this burglary, please contact us 100% anonymously on 0800 555 111 or through the non-traceable Anonymous Online Form.

*Note: The reward will only qualify if information is passed to Crimestoppers’ 0800 555 111 number or via the non-traceable anonymous online form. Information passed directly to police will not qualify.
