Committee members in Dorset, Russell Oaten (Chairman) David Tharby (Vice Chairman) and Richard Daubeny (Past Chairman) have had a busy time through the winter attending meetings of groups such as Round Table, Residents Associations, Neighbourhood Watch and Lions Rotary Clubs to name a few [27 February 2013].
Imparting the message of Crimestoppers to as wide an audience as possible with special emphasis on local and rural crime prevention has been the common theme and the presentations well received.
This year Crimestoppers was on the steering committee for the ‘Preventing Rural Crime’ event at Kingston Maurward on Friday 26 April.
Theft, burglary, vandalism, wildlife and associated crimes affect us all and there is a way to reduce it.
Whilst Russell and Richard have been to the Poole, Bournemouth and Christchurch conurbation, David has been in the west of the county in the Dorchester area.
The Crimestoppers team are keen to spread the word to more people and welcome contact from any group, club or association that would like to hear more about helping to reduce and prevent crimes in their area, or indeed from any person willing to become involved, particularly in the west of Dorset.
