After five years as a Board Member, Pete Anderson was unanimously voted in to take over the Chairmanship of the West Country Crimestoppers Board at the last meeting

Following his appointment, Pete told us a bit more about himself and what he'll be bringing to his new role.

"I currently hold the position of Safer Bristol Manager for Bristol City Council, responsible for delivering services across crime reduction, substance misuse treatment and the emergency control centre. I have been a member of the West Country Crimestoppers Board for over five years and relish the opportunity to fulfill the role of Chair, working with a fabulous team of volunteers to ensure that Crimestoppers continues to provide an invaluable service in tackling crime and bringing offenders to justice across Avon and Somerset.

"I have worked within the public sector for many local authorities over the past 18 years and am passionate about providing universal, targeted and specialised services to all citizens in an efficient and cost effective manner.

"I live and work in Bristol with my family and enjoy all forms of outdoor activities including cycling, golf and ultimate frisbee."

GOOD LUCK, PETE!
