We're always looking for creative ways to raise money to support our work at Crimestoppers, and every year businesses in Avon & Somerset comes together for the West Country Crimestoppers Charity Golf Tournament

Gold Tournament

Organised this year by Committee Chair Pete Anderson and hosted at Long Ashton Golf Club, six teams competed on Friday 16 June: the winning team was from Bristol Water, 2nd place went to the Rolls Royce team and in 3rd place to Pete Anderson's team.

The tournament raised £863. The money raised will go towards the cost of running important awareness raising campaigns, including the 'What Would You Do' campaign which engages 100s of inner city young people in schools with the aim of:

  • Providing the information and tools needed to help young people make informed choices when faced with difficult challenges or decisions
  • Informing young people about community safety
  • Heightening awareness of Crimestoppers and how to report crime anonymously

Thanks go to:

  • Long Ashton Golf Club for hosting and providing prizes
  • Auxillus, Moore Scarrott Financial Planning and Bristol Water for sponsoring the tournament
  • Bristol Sport, Bristol Hippodrome,  Double Tree by Hilton Bristol City Centre, Avon Fire and Rescue and our volunteer committee members for their generous raffle prizes.
  • Volunteer committee members Harriette Dottridge, Jamie Angelinetta and Paul Lillington for their help
