Another great fundraising day of golf was enjoyed by eight teams made up of local businesses from the region, raising in excess of £800 for West Country Crimestoppers.

A team from the Safer Bristol Partnership, which included committee member and golf day organiser Keith Judkins, scooped the top position with 87 points and they were presented with their prizes by Crimestoppers Chairman David Duckworth. However, with the large number of donated raffle prizes including dinner, bed and breakfast at the DoubleTree by Hilton, Bristol City Centre Hotel, as well as tickets to a number of different shows donated by The Bristol Hippodrome, a Bulldog Gromit figurine, a barbecue and lots of alcoholic beverages, many of the competitors went home with a prize.

Thanks go to Long Ashton Golf Club for hosting the day, for their hospitality and for the top condition of the golf course, and also to sponsors C W Duke, Echo Engage, Backwell Motors and First Class Comms for their support and commitment to the charity - without their support the day would not have been such a great success.
