Golf

For the last 15 years as part of our calendar of events we have hosted a charity golf tournament to help with fundraising for Crimestoppers

We are therefore really pleased to invite you to take part in our tournament this year to support our cause and help celebrate the 30th anniversary of Crimestoppers as a charity in the UK.

For those of you who have entered before, the tournament and course needs no introduction - but for any first-time entrants it will take place at Long Ashton Golf Club, home club of Chris Wood, Winner of the 2016 BMW PGA Championship and a member of the 2016 Ryder Cup Team.

Founded in 1893 and situated just three miles from Bristol's City Centre, Long Ashton is one of the area's premier golf clubs. The course provides a true test of golf for all players and as the only members' club in the area with 18 free-draining greens and fairways, Long Ashton is a fine place to enjoy your golf at any time of the year: http://www.longashtongolfclub.co.uk/.

It's renowned as a very friendly club, and you can expect a most welcoming clubhouse atmosphere and some of the region's best practice facilities.

You will be welcomed at the club with a coffee and a bacon roll and then later in the day provided with a meal, all included in the entry fee.

The tournament will be a Bowmaker, with two scores to count from four on each hole. There will be team prizes, along with prizes for nearest the pin and longest drive.

If you are unable to play in the tournament but would still like to support Crimestoppers, there are opportunities to sponsor individual holes or donate prizes for a raffle. Simply contact us to discuss - Tel: 07810 506622 or email: peter.anderson@bristol.gov.uk.

We hope you can join us on the day.  Many thanks for your support.
