Keep your community safe and protect the people you care about from crime
As an independent crime-fighting charity, we're appealing for enthusiastic members of the public to join our volunteer committee in Surrey and support the fight against crime in the county.
We're seeking willing individuals to join our growing family of crime fighters. In Surrey alone, 1,582 pieces of actionable information were received by Crimestoppers in the year 2016/17, a 34% increase on the previous financial year.
Whether your expertise is in business, the media, or maybe even fundraising, we’d love to hear from you – all we ask is that you have a passion for your local area and you share the same vision as we do – that everyone deserves to live in a community free of crime.
Surrey Volunteer Chair Ian Chandler says:
“Volunteering for Crimestoppers is a great way to make a difference and I’m really looking forward to growing our team to make Surrey a safer place to live and work.
“You can dedicate as much or as little time as you like – every little helps and your efforts will be rewarded with the satisfaction that you are playing a part in keeping your community safe.
"Roles could be anything from representing Crimestoppers at major events, visiting schools and business organisations to talk about Crimestoppers, to simply placing posters and information cards throughout your community. We have specific roles for a Fundraiser, a Fearless Representative (Fearless is Crimestoppers' youth service), Deputy Chairman and Ambassadors Co-ordinator.
"Any help would be greatly appreciated. You really could make a difference."
