Crimestoppers is dedicated to fighting crime across Surrey

Guildford Cathedral

We help to promote the charity in communities across the region, to let people know that Crimestoppers is there as a service which enables them to give information about crime anonymously by calling 0800 555 111 or by using our anonymous online form. Crimestoppers guarantees anonymity, which means that no-one can ever find out who passed on information about crime.

Volunteer for us!

Vol (2)

Crimestoppers in Surrey is run by a committee of volunteers – each and every one is a vital link with the community in the region.

We have the following vacancies on the committee:-

Community Ambassador Co-ordinator

Recruiting and sustaining Community Ambassadors, organisations whose staff and/or volunteers act as advocates for Crimestoppers and our aim of keeping communities safe from crime. This role requires skills in facilitating and maintaining positive communications locally, providing a positive engagement model with local partners and encouraging local partnership working in order to promote Crimestoppers.

Fearless Representative

Leading in the local delivery of Crimestoppers’ work with young people via Fearless (see https://www.fearless.org/en), improving the lives of residents through reduction in crime and the fear of crime. This role requires you to be able to engage with young people positively through your experience and skill.

Fundraiser

To become a Fundraiser for Crimestoppers you will need to have excellent communications skills and the enthusiasm to drum up support for our charity. We primarily use Fundraisers to increase the contributions of individuals and groups to our charity by building relationships and exploring new fundraising opportunities from various sources. You could be writing a bid to a trust or grant funding organisation, seeking support from a local business, working with major donors, planning a fundraising event or even taking part in a challenge event yourself.

If you are interested in applying for any of these volunteer roles then please fill in our enquiry form. Full role descriptions are available on request.
