We are today offering a reward of up to £10,000 for information on the murder of Michael Freshwater

Michael, 49, was found stabbed to death in a flat on Westbridge Road, Southampton on April 29.

Possible dispute

Hampshire Police believe there may have been a dispute at the property earlier on in the day of his discovery, before they were eventually called at 4.15pm to discover Michael’s body.

A number of arrests have been made by the force, but the charity is now offering the reward of up to £10,000 for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or people responsible for Michael’s murder.*

Many years ahead

Michael Freshwater

Julia Hughes, Regional Manager for Hampshire, said: “A man of 49 should not be having his life taken away from him, Michael still had so many years ahead.

“The knock on effect on the community is also significant, which is why I would ask anyone with information to contact Crimestoppers anonymously. We don’t ask for any personal details, you won’t have to speak to the police, and you won’t have to go to court. Just tell us what you know, not who you are.”

If you have any information, please contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or through our Anonymous Online Form.

*Note: The reward will only qualify if information is passed to Crimestoppers’ 0800 555 111 number or anonymous online form. Information passed directly to police will not qualify.
