We joined forces with Police Scotland and Get Safe Online to educate school pupils in West Lothian about cybercrime.
The event, at the Almondavale Shopping Centre in Livingston, was a chance to talk to students and shoppers alike about our youth brand, Fearless, which aims to educate young people about crime and empower them to do the right thing if ever faced with criminality.
Amanda West (pictured below) attended to hand out lanyards and other Fearless materials.
Those who attended were able to see and try out a fake ATM machine as well as get their IT and mobile devices safety checked. Local drama group Creative Flame also performed a series of sketches about online safety.
“We set up a stall at the event and handed out lots of Fearless goodies, which went down really well with the local school pupils. It was encouraging to see so many young people enjoying the event and hearing about how they can protect themselves from cybercrime. It's an incredibly serious issue and we can raise awareness to help stop it happening."
