Monday 25th April 2016
Today we are offering a reward of up to £10,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or people responsible for the murder of Lewis Elwin in Tooting.
Twenty-year-old Lewis was stabbed in the back in broad daylight last Monday, April 18th, at around 3.45pm on Penwortham Road.
Dead at the scene
Police and paramedics were called to Thrale Road at the junction with Penwortham Road shortly after the stabbing, but Lewis was pronounced dead at the scene.
We are now offering a reward of up to £10,000 for information passed to the charity that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or people responsible for this murder.*
Roger Critchell, Director of Operations for Crimestoppers, said: “This was a callous murder in the middle of the day and right near a primary school – those responsible clearly did not care about their surroundings.
“But more importantly, the loss Lewis’ family must be feeling at the moment is sure to be overwhelming, and they deserve answers as to who killed him.
“I would ask anyone who might know who was responsible for his murder to contact us anonymously on 0800 555 111 or through our anonymous online form. No police, no statements, no personal details. All we want is your information. Don’t let those responsible get away with this.”
*Only information coming via the anonymous 0800 555 111 number or online form will qualify for a reward.
